Sweet french toasts

Made a yummy sweet French toast with crusty & soft sesame honey spelt sourdough bread I had lying around in the freezer (tip: if you bake or buy a lot of bread and can’t eat it all, slice it & freeze it!)

So the French toast, I think it woud pair beautifully with a slow Sunday morning and a cup (or 3) of good coffee.. Serve it with nut butter, thick oat yoghurt seasoned with vanilla powder, berries & maple syrup. Substitute any white / sweet bread (or banana bread!) for sourdough.

Sweet french toasts

2 servings

1 dl oat milk
1/2 tbsp corn starch
1 tsp maple syrup
pinch of sea salt
4-6 thick slices sourdough bread (or any white / sweet bread)
butter for frying

Mix the oat milk, corn starch, maple syrup and salt in a shallow plate. Dunk both sides of the bread slices in the milk mixture. Fry in butter on a hot pan for a few mins on each side. Serve with nut butter, thick oat yoghurt, berries and maple syrup. Enjoy <3

Have a lovely weekend!
