Bacon and blue cheese mini pies

With autumn not far away, it’s time to start experimenting with more autumnal recipes! These mini pies are perfect for parties, or even just for yourself, as the mini pie molds make it easy to customize quantity as needed! They are super easy and so delicious to eat!

Recipe

Makes 3 small pies

200g of salty pie dough
1 egg
1,5 dl of cream
Blue cheese to your liking
50 g of bacon
1 pear
handful of walnuts
a bit of rosemary
salt
Black pepper

Start by placing the prepared savoury pie crust in the mini pie tins and place them in the oven for 4-5 minutes at 220°C. Cook the bacon in a pan until crisp and golden brown, then place it on a paper towel to remove some of the oil. When the bacon has cooled slightly, chop it into small pieces. Mix together the egg, blue cheese, and cream, with a pinch of salt and pepper. Put the egg mixture and the bacon pieces in the pie dishes. Cut the pear into thin slices and place them on top of the pie in a round shape. Chop the walnuts and place them on top of the pie with the rosemary. Place back in the oven for around 10 minutes.

Tip: Spinach is a great replacement for bacon to make this recipe meat-free!

Happy cooking moments!
